This list of museums is compiled by The Mississippi Club.  We have included museums that we know about and will be happy to add others that are brought to our attention.  Also note that this list was compiled prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and some information may have changed since that time.  We will make corrections as we discover the need for such action.  Please visit the museum's website or contact them by phone before visiting.

Catfish Museum and Welcome Center
Features hand crafted exhibits by state artisans of the renowned Mississippi Craftsmen's Guild. An entertaining video presentation shows the complete story of the catfish from fingerling to frying pan. HATTIESBURG
African American Military History Museum
The USO Club opened on March 22, 1942 and was constructed by community volunteers who invested more than 40,000 hours in the project. With partners that include the EURO Alumni Association, African American Military History Museum Committee, Historic Hattiesburg Downtown Association, SMART Partnership, Mobile Street Neighborhood Association and the City of Hattiesburg, the Hattiesburg Convention Commission worked to restore the building and its artifacts as a world-class Museum.

The Museum of Mississippi History will explore the entire sweep of the state̢۪s history, from earliest times to the present. Eudora Welty House and Garden
For seventy-six years, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Eudora Welty lived and wrote in her Jackson home at 1119 Pinehurst Street. Restored by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History after her death in 2001, the house is open for tours.

Yesterday's Children Antique Doll and Toy Museum
The Wonder of Childhood, children and toys captured in over 1,000 dolls dating back to 1843 in an historic setting.
