Barbara Mae McMillian and I were classmates and graduated together in 1969 from Magnolia High School in Moss Point, Mississippi. She was "Bobcat" back then and very good at sports. We were one of the last few classes to attend Magnolia High before it was turned into a middle school. Since that time, a Magnolia High School Reunion is held every three years. Whenever I attended the reunion, I would see Barbara Mae and she always made me feel like she was glad to see me. She and my mother had worked together at one time and had become friends, so from time to time my mother would mention her in conversation. The last time I saw Barbara Mae was in July of 2013 at the last school reunion. I was really saddened to hear of her passing. Her funeral services and burial took place on this past Saturday, July 18, 2015. Rest in peace, my dear.
